The weight of the Blue Sapphire is 1553 carats and the gross weight is (including the thread & wire) is 1586 carats. The length of the necklace is adjustable from the back depending on the neck size upon wearer. The smallest length is 28 cm, and can be extended to 53 cm. The paint on the blue sapphire stones is done by hand by skilled painters using gold paint. There is also a layer of lacquer to ensure that the finish of the underneath paint doesn't fade.
