5.68 Carat Diamond and 2.35 Carat Sapphire Platinum Brooch

A stunning antique Art Deco 5.68 carat diamond and 2.35 carat sapphire, platinum brooch; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive antique sapphire and diamond brooch has been crafted in platinum. The pierced decorated, symmetrical Art Deco design is ornamented with three individually bezel set sapphires, a central oval mixed cut and two round mixed cuts. The larger central sapphire is flanked on either side by a stunning feature collet set 0.52Ct and 0.68Ct Old European round cut diamond. This central sapphire and diamond design is encompassed with an angular incurved border, incorporating twelve individually pavé set Old European cut diamonds. Either end of this millegrain decorated, geometric Art Deco frame incorporates a fan shaped setting, each ornamented with eight pavé set Old European round cut diamonds The upper and lower portions of the design have an arched, oval form embellished with sixteen Old European cut diamonds; this border incorporates inverted incurves to the centre of the setting to accommodate the aforementioned angular, central border. The brooch secures to the reverse of the setting with a hinged bar and safety clasp. This stunning antique Art Deco brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum. The brooch is supplied with two independent diamond grading certificates for the larger feature diamonds, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the sapphires and supporting diamonds. Condition This antique 1930s gemstone brooch is exceptional quality set with stunning blue sapphires and very well color matched, very high color graded old cut diamonds displaying fine white color, brilliance and presence. The brooch is an exceptional gauge of platinum and is in excellent condition.
