An impeccable rare antique, Victorian 10 karat yellow gold longuard chain. We love a good longuard chain here, such a versatile and wearable piece of jewellery, this one though is a chain of dreams! Stunning fancy yellow gold links, oval shaped and each stamped with a star joined with chunky rolo spacers, this is a solid chain too with a weight of 62.57 gram of solid buttery gold. It has a 9kt gold dog clip fastener for adding your favourite pendant, charms or locket. This chain simply has everything you could wish for in an antique chain, solid and beautiful fancy links, the length and the weight, they don't come around like this very often! A stunning chain, can be worn long or easily tripled over, currently it is joined at double with a gold jump ring though this can easily be removed, this would make a lovely gift for someone special or a treat for yourself. The chain has an applied tag marked 10c and tests as 10kt gold, the dog clip is marked 9c. Late Victorian era, c1890s.
