An unusual gemstone ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in platinum, this beautiful ring frames a 3.50ct natural no-heat Tanzanian ruby at the center of a filigree mounting. The gorgeous ruby is polished into a smooth oval shape, displaying a luscious natural color with natural inclusions inside. Decorating each shoulder of the ring are three gemstones set in a row. The faceted stones include a black onyx stone, a ruby, and a delicate sparkling diamond. Completing the Art Deco mounting is a fine filigree wirework design, with a smooth band that tapers in at the back. Stamped inside the shank is a "PLAT" mark. Accompanying the ring is a Gemological Ruby Origin Report issued by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in January 2018, confirming the ruby's stated characteristics. Perfect for the Art Deco lover's collection, this colorful ring would make a unique everyday accessory! The ring has a finger size 7.25, but could be easily resized. The ruby center rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 1mm wide at the very back.
