Arts & Crafts Jacobean armchair (1870-1880) possibly designed by Edward William Godwin and produced for William Watt. The chairs features a backrest with ribs in a wave pattern with a lily stalk in the center. The hardwood frame has crossed leg posts meeting to a cross form wood block. The seat cushion is newly upholstered with green suede and trimmed in a soft shiny leather band. The chair has been lightly cleaned and waxed, shows various mark and indentation in the wood from use and the chair is solid and stable. _x000D_ _x000D_ Measures: Height: 35”. Width: 22”.
