The Spring 2016 collection for Bottega Veneta was inspired by the great outdoors. By incorporating various textures, earthy tones, and unconventional textiles, this collection was nothing short of an adventure with a luxury twist. Taking cues from sailing, this rounded halter neck dress is done in a charcoal cotton polyamide and cupro blend. Running diagonally across the dress are iridescent stripes of purple and green. The dress has a tent silhouette ending in a bold hem sweep that contrasts the two, thin knotted straps set into grommets at the neck. At the side, there are hooks to allow the dress to be gathered up for a different silhouette. Down centre front and centre back are full-length exposed metal zips that enhance the rugged vibe of the dress but also allow the wearer to customize the dress even more by creating slits or varying the front neckline. Finished with plaid accents under the arm, this dress is unexpected and highly customizable. Combining a sleek looking fabric with industrial hardware this dress can easily transform from a casual dress to an avant-garde evening look. It can be seen in the featured images as look #22 from that season’s runway. Size: 42 IT Size estimate: Medium Bust: 36 inches Waist: up to 54 inches Hips: full Length: 63 inches front -68 inches back This dress is unlined and has been clean finished on the inside with French and felled seams. In excellent condition, it has been professionally eco dry cleaned and pressed. High-quality vintage pieces like this are yours to live in and love while increasing in value every year. It’s never too soon to start collecting them, as an investment in your wardrobe—and in yourself.
