A truly phenomenal early Art Deco aquamarine and diamond convertible tiara set in silver and gold, circa 1920. This beautifully handcrafted tiara can be effortlessly transformed into a tiara and necklace proving to be an illustrative example of the versatility and practicality of the Art Deco era. The masterpiece is composed of 11 graduating oval aquamarine stones that sit securely in claw settings. In both conversions the aquamarines sit proudly, upright in the tiara frame, and perfectly on the neck. Between each aquamarine is a ruched pleated design of old mine cut and rose cut diamonds. There is a grand total of 120 diamonds in the piece which add the perfect amount of sparkle to the design. The piece has been assessed by our inhouse gemmologist as having an estimated total aquamarine weight of 51.00 carats - all the aquamarines are perfectly matched in colour and clarity. There is an estimated total diamond weight of 6.10 carats which are graded to range from H-I in colour with SI clarity. The piece is accompanied by our own Susannah Lovis bespoke fitted box. The necklace is secured with a simple chain fitting that detaches from the sides when being converted into a tiara.
