An emerald and diamond platinum engagement ring in an Art Deco style, circa 1950 This ring is centrally set with an beautiful 2.07 carat emerald cut emerald which is claw set in platinum The emerald has an intense and vibrant deep green colour to it. The emerald is framed by a central row of round brilliant cut diamonds between two rows of channel set baguette cut diamonds graduating in size for a total of 0.40 carats, estimated as G colour VS1 clarity. These mixed cuts and geometric lines are heavily Art Deco inspired, making for an elegant and timeless ring. Components: Emerald: 2.07 carats approximately Diamonds: 0.40 carats approximately, estimated as G colour VS1 clarity Stamped to the inner IRID 950 PT (meaning Iridium and Platinum which was the typical mixture used in rings in the United States around the Mid 20th-Century) The ring is currently a UK finger size I (USA size 4.25) but this can be resized for a perfect fit. Condition Overall the condition of the ring is very good, with some slight abrasions to the surface of the platinum band, in keeping with its general age.
