This item is supposed to be a Turkmen or Pashtun tribes wedding cuff bracelet. The three lapis lazuli stones in rich blue color, are set in this hand polished and beautifully handmade bracelet. This solid high grade antique silver cuff was created in the lands of Afghanistan, it was presumably crafted by members of the Pashtun or Kuchi tribe. This silver tribal bracelet has beautiful filigree details. Banded cuff bracelet like this are classic Turkmen, traditionally worn by women at celebrations, usually in pairs with one on each arm. The Turkmen call these bracelets Qasli Bilezik, and each band is called a qoshmah. The number of bands, or qoshmah, that a woman has on her bizelik is an individual preference or family tradition.
