Known for its intense neon blue and green hues, this member of the tourmaline family has distinguished itself as one of the most remarkable and rarest gems in the world. Its unparalleled colors are reminiscent of a crystal clear swimming pool and it is nearly impossible to replicate. An electric gem whose lucid glow is sought after amongst gem connoisseurs and jewelry aficionados alike, Paraiba is named after its origin in Brazil, where it was first discovered in 1989, where some of the most remarkable gems have been unearthed. Today, this copper-bearing gem is still being mined but from other locales in the world such as Nigeria and Mozambique. Crafted in 18kt white gold this pendant features a remarkable pear shaped cabochon Paraiba center stone weighing a total of 21.74 ct. It is secured in white gold double prongs and accented by an assortment of glittering white diamonds. The pavé set white diamonds border the center stone and are set along a slightly domed finish to offer a clean and ultra luxurious appearance. The bail contains an elongated trillion cut diamond that is bordered by additional round diamonds.
