This stylish and complex perpetual calendar minute-repeating chronometer pocket watch was created by the Swiss firm of H. Redard & Co. Its 18K rose gold hunter's case features the original owner's monogram in raised 18K yellow gold while the interior enamel face displays a myriad of complications. Rose gold spade hands point to both Roman and Arabic numerals to indicate the time alongside subsidiary seconds, day, date, month and moon phase dials. The term perpetual calendar is used in watchmaking to describe a calendar mechanism in a watch that displays the date correctly 'perpetually,' taking into account the different lengths of the months as well as leap year's day.
