Rolex Art Deco Rose Gold Wristwatch, 1929

An Art Deco vintage wristwatch by Rolex made in 1929. Rose gold, square shaped cushion case, marked with the original “W & D” lozenge for the Rolex Watch Company Ltd. The snap back gold case hallmarked for Glasgow Import into the United Kingdom in 1929. 15-Jewel (Rubies) Rolex Prima Chronometer movement, timed 6 positions, signed Rolex and Swiss made. Prima was a very high-grade Rolex movement at the time. Silvered dial with black stylised Art Deco Arabic numerals. Black minute chapter and subsidiary dial for seconds. Blued steel, fancy Art Deco Breguet style, hands. Case, movement and dial signed. Case Measurements: Width : 29 mm / 2.9 cm; 1 1/8 (1.14 Inches) Length (lug to lug): 31 mm / 3.1 cm; 1 3/16” (1.22 Inches) Depth: 7mm / 0.7cm; ¼” (0.28 Inches) All watches are given a full thorough service. They are stripped down to their individual parts, thoroughly checked for any obvious wear and tear, cleaned, re-oiled, reassembled and regulated. The final result is that the case, dial and movement are in pristine condition.
