This diamond ring brings to life the style, glamour, and masterful artistry of the illustrious Art Deco era! The ring is an amazing display of master craftsmanship and precise detailing. The center is a magnificent and fiery 0.96ct old transitional cut diamond. Eye clean and perfectly colorless with D-E color, the diamond was cut by hand a lifetime in the past during the 1930s to 1940s. This stunning and rare vintage diamond is set at the center of a timelessly elegant and impeccably hand finished design. A stunning work of craftsmanship, the solid platinum setting is studded with diamonds and elegantly accented with graceful lines of French cut natural sapphires! The face of the ring and undergallery are intricately rendered in hand perfected geometric filigree. This is labor intensive and highly skilled work, truly a labor of love! This beauty is an excellent choice for an engagement or right hand ring that is not only beautifully designed and eye-catching, but also fully unique and meticulously crafted by hand. Graded D-E for color, the 0.96ct center diamond is perfectly white and colorless. D is the highest possible color grade; diamonds do not come any brighter white! It stands out brightly against the rich royal blue sapphires. The inclusions are small and well dispersed throughout the diamond. They blend perfectly into the sparkle and faceting, and they hide extremely well even under very close scrutiny. As an old transitional cut, the diamond has old style facets and bold sparkle similar to an old European cut but with a smaller culet and proportions similar to modern standards. It absolutely retains the unique charm of a hand cut stone. It is the best of both worlds with old style faceting but exceptional light performance. This diamond has an absolutely phenomenal presence, and its sparkle is gorgeously lively with colorful fire. The accent diamonds are also bright white, graded F-G for color. They are all exceptionally clean, graded VS for clarity. The side diamonds are full old European cuts. This is a special touch as it is quite rare to find fully faceted old European cuts in this size (most vintage rings use single cuts for the side diamonds)! The sapphires are a rich and well saturated royal blue hue. They are cut and set with exceptional craftsmanship. Each sapphire is individually cut to fit in the setting with zero gaps. This is a highly skilled and labor intensive process that truly makes this setting a work of art! The sapphires are French cut, which is quite rare to see today as they take an incredible amount of labor to cut. The benefit is that French cuts reflect more light and therefore appear very lively as the light bounces off the extra facets. The diamonds and sapphires are all natural, earth-mined stones.
