A rare antique Victorian Coral Snake Pendant depicting a snake or serpent wrapped around a gorgeous natural coral pendant. The snake in 14 Karat gold with wonderful details throughout the head with its eyes and open mouth. The snake pendant has stunning elegant design. The snake pendant dates to circa 1850-1900. It is extremely rare to find these early snake jewels and we are so excited when we do! And snake jewelry is all the rage today. In the Victorian era the snake was the symbol of eternal love. It has come to symbolize sexuality, rebirth and wisdom. The pendant is 1 inch (27mm) long including the bales. Without the bales the snake is 20mm long and 10mm wide. The snake is 14 Karat Gold.
