Vintage 7.39Ct Cabochon Cut Opal and Diamond Platinum Cocktail Ring Circa 1960

A stunning, fine and impressive vintage 7.39 carat opal and 0.82 carat diamond, platinum dress ring; part of our diverse vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This stunning vintage cabochon cut opal cocktail ring has been crafted in platinum. The impressive stunning feature 7.39Ct white cabochon opal is displayed in relief to the center of the scroll decorated, platinum boat style setting. The iconic Art Deco style design is accented with ten, perfectly color matched, tapering baguette cut diamonds and four modern brilliant round cut diamonds, divided between the two shoulders. The baguette cut diamonds are graduating in size, with the largest to the center of the symmetrical, subtly convex, fan style arrangements, and the modern brilliant round cut diamonds displayed to the ends of each combination. The elevated, tapering, pierced decorated ring shoulders support the boat style setting and have a defined step at the junction with the plain platinum ring shank. The shank is clearly hallmarked to the interior with the platinum fineness mark (pt900*). This stunning vintage 1960s opal cocktail ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. NOTE *Pt900 - denotes the recognised standard of 90% pure platinum Condition This vintage opal ring is fine quality, set with a natural opal and fourteen well color matched, very high color and clarity graded diamonds.
