A matching pair, each set with one drop shape cabochon onyx in open back rubover and millegrain settings, set to top with one round old cut diamond in open back rubover and millegrain settings, two in total with a combined weight of 1.40 carats, suspending seventeen cushion shape old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, thirty four in total with a combined weight of 2.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.40 carats, to an elegant articulated drop earring with finely pierced open work, millegrain decoration, open gallery and intricately shaped backhoing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and butterfly fitting. Earrings tested platinum, butterflies marked platinum, circa 1920.
