An emerald, diamond and onyx Art Deco brooch, ca. 1920, in platinum. The facetted square emerald weighs 2.14 carats and is of Columbian origin. It has an old mine vivid green colour and crystal with fine jardin inclusions. The emerald is surround by round old cut diamonds of high quality (EF-VVSVS), weighing approximately 4 carats, and onyx parts. The brooch is a fabulous piece from the Art Deco period. With its colour combination and geometric patterns throughout, as well as by featuring small oriental accents on either side of the emerald, it really speaks the design elements during that time. The brooch is in platinum. It has a Swedish assay mark and French export marks.
