Zardozi Floral Embroidered Red Velvet Hand Bag circa 1950s

Zardozi floral embroidered red velvet hand bag with a popper clasp, featuring golden and silver tone metal work and bead decoration, and with a woven strap. The reverse has an embroidered strap. Measuring width 19.8cm / 7.8 inches by height 12.6cm / 4.9 inches. Inside there is a dark coral satin lining with two pockets. Found inside the bag is a silver tone comb, hand made in Sweden. There are some signs of wear. The lining has a pen mark. The red velvet has darkened in some areas through use. The embroidery is in very good condition. This is a very beautiful vintage bag, it is unusual to find this type of bag in red. Circa 1950s.
